We took a taxi (used DiDi taxi mobile app) to the ferry terminal to go to Miyajima Island. (10/10 Recommend! This was also an excursion, but we did it at a fraction of the cost with more time on the island.)✔️ 🤗

When you get off the ferry onto the island, you are greeted with shops, snack/dining venues, and wild DEER! 🦌
On the island, you’ll find two famous points of interest. A Shinto shrine and the Torii gate create a captivating illusion of floating on water during high tide, embodying the perfect harmony between humans and nature. Both structures are recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites and reflect the traditional sacred architecture of Japan. 🏮⛩️🏵
While these two sites are definitely amazing, there’s much more to see and explore.
